I am totally disgusted by the Republican Party. They let 9/11 happen. They lied to the world to go to war. They violated our rights time after time. They accuse anyone who doesn't subscribe to their christian-conservative-right-wing-republican-natzi regime of being a traitor. The Supreme Court said the warrantless wiretaps would be legal if they were sanctioned by Congress. This is the Republican strategy to abide by the law. It makes me sick.
Time for an update. I understand that Specter was forced to pull this bill, yesterday, because a handful of nervous Republicans on the committee joined up with the Democrats, to stop the bill.
Another update: The bill passed the Judiciary Committee, yesterday, by a 10 to 8 vote, strictly on party lines. It now goes to the floor along with two related bills. If you want more details, feel free to email me. I was at the committee markup.

This is off topic for this post, but I couldn't find a guestbook.
I don't have a political blog but consider yourselves linked.
The Bush re-election wasn't 4 more years for him, but 4 more years of resistance for you.
KEEP THE FAITH!
